Texas Construction's Top 138 Contractors

Survey Results Shows Signs of Growth

Texas Construction presents its annual Top Contractors' ranking. The results show that construction is on the rise around the state. The top firms in Texas collectively billed more than $16 billion in the state in 2005 and approximately $70 billion from all projects.

Texas Construction presents its 11th annual Top Contractors ranking. The list grew modestly from last year's 135 to 138 this year.

The chart that follows is a statewide ranking, which includes total company revenue for work performed in and out of Texas. The ranking is industrywide, meaning it includes all general contractors from building and heavy/highway firms to construction management companies and all general contracting firms in between.

While conducting the survey, Texas Construction makes every effort to reach as many general contracting and construction management firms in Texas as possible, including some out-of-state contractors with offices in Texas. The information provided in the list is derived from each firm's returned survey form, and ranking is based on each firm's 2005 reported revenue for work performed in the state.

At the end of the Top Contractors list, we included the top companies ranked by revenue in seven different categories.
