New President Takes Helm at Skanska USA
Ron Oakley leads Skanska, Jerry
Hiebert joins PBS&J, Hines promotes Litterio and Betsy
del Monte vice chairs U.S. Green Building Council's North
Texas Chapter.
Ron Oakley has been appointed
the new president of Skanska USA Building, replacing Johan
Karlström, executive vice president of Skanska AB, who
has served as acting president of Skanska USA Building since
February.
Karlström will continue to be based in the U.S. as a
member of the group's senior executive team with responsibility
for Skanska's U.S. operations including Skanska USA Civil.
Oakley has more than 30 years of management experience in
the construction industry and has been involved in construction
operations for private-sector and public-sector customers
as well as real-estate operations and project financing.
For 24 years, Oakley was employed by Fluor Corp., where his
responsibilities included commercial, process and industrial
construction, design/build and government assignments. He
was also active in initiating the company's unit for transportation
and public-private partnering projects. His most recent position
was CEO of Lend Lease Americas.
Jerry Hiebert has joined PBS&J's
integrated management solutions division as a senior advisor.
He will provide expert advice and guidance to toll and transportation
clients in all areas of agency operations, strategy, policy
and technology.
Hiebert recently retired as the executive director of the
North Texas Tollway Authority, a position he held since 1998.
Prior to joining NTTA, Hiebert was the deputy city manager
for the city of Richardson.
During Hiebert's tenure, express lanes utilizing TollTag
electronic toll collection were implemented on all of the
toll roads in his region. TollTag interoperability was also
implemented with Dallas/Forth Worth Airport and is under way
at Dallas Love Field.
He has a master's degree in regional and city planning from
the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor's degree in social
science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Hiebert
will office in PBS&J's Dallas location.
Eduardo Litterio has been promoted
to vice president of the Sao Paulo, Brazil, office of Hines,
the international real estate firm based in Houston.
Since joining Hines in 1998, Litterio led construction management
efforts on behalf of the firm's South American operation.
During his tenure, he was instrumental in the construction
of numerous Sao Paulo-based projects including International
Plaza, Louveira Distribution Park and Panamerica Park as well
as Torre Almirante in Rio de Janeiro. Litterio has also been
a key asset in procuring property management contracts for
the firm.
Litterio holds a civil engineering degree from the University
of Sao Paulo and a master's of business administration degree
from Fundacao Armando Alvares Penteado, Sao Paulo.
Elizabeth (Betsy) del Monte,
AIA, LEED accredited professional, was recently appointed
the vice chair for the board of directors of the U.S. Green
Building Council -- North Texas Chapter.
A registered professional architect, del Monte serves as an
architectural principal and the national director of communications
for The Beck Group, headquartered in Dallas. She served as
a principal at Urban Architecture from 1993 until Beck merged
with the firm in 2000.
The USGBC is best known for its LEED certification program
that provides certification to building projects that meet
stiff environmental criteria.
The Board of Directors of the North Texas Chapter of USGBC
is responsible for providing leadership in green building
activities throughout northern Texas. That includes promoting
green building projects, developing local green building strategies,
and promoting green building initiatives throughout the area.
Before moving to Dallas to join Urban Architecture, she spent
nine years in New York working with Philip Johnson and John
Burgee as an associate responsible for design and management..
Del Monte holds a master's of architecture from Rice University
in Houston and a bachelor's of science in architecture from
the University of Virginia. Del Monte is chair of the Dallas
AIA committee on the environment (COTE) for 2005.
Walter P. Moore
recently announced that Srinivas M.
Sangineni, P.E., has joined the firm as senior associate
and managing director, traffic/ITS services in the Dallas
Infrastructure office. An expert in transportation analysis,
advanced arterial traffic management, traffic signal timing
and simulation software, Sangineni brings significant experience
in innovative traffic engineering and intelligent transportation
system solutions throughout Texas.
The firm also announced that Biswajit
Mukhopadhyay, Ph.D, P.E, has joined the firm as senior
associate and team director, hydrology & hydraulics in
the Houston infrastructure office. From large regional hydrologic
and hydraulic modeling to project-specific design solutions,
Mukhopadhyay is an expert in creative water resources engineering
and environmental sciences, working to address all issues
related to water and wastewater. His expertise includes surface
water hydrologic and hydraulic studies and design, geographic
information systems in water resources, flood control and
floodplain management, groundwater hydrology and hydraulics
and water treatment.
Clint Preston has joined Hoss
Equipment Co. in Irving to direct the day-to-day operations
of the Hoss Custom Rebuild Program, one of the most detailed
and respected heavy construction and surface mining machinery
rebuilding programs. The appointment places renewed focus
on the Hoss commitment to deliver the finest rebuilt machines
to the global heavy construction and surface mining industries.
