Cordless Planer
Bosch recently announced the addition of the 18-volt and the 14.4-volt 3 ¼-in. cordless planers to its continually growing cordless power tool family. Each planer includes two reversible Bosch Woodrazor micrograin carbide blades, which provide a finer finish, up to 30 percent longer life than standard carbide blades and resistant fractures from accidental nail or staple strikes. The unique electronically balanced single blade-cutting head holds the Woodrazor blade at an optimal angle, to provide fastest results, smoothest finish and longest battery life. Both planers also feature the Bosch patented two-way chip ejection switch to direct shavings either left or right and an ambidextrous lock off switch accessible from either side. For additional information, contact Bosch Power Tools, 4300 West Peterson Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60646, or call (773) 286-7330.
Grinder
Vemeer Manufacturing Co. is expanding its environmental solutions with
the introduction of a product that builds upon its proven grinding technologies.
The stationary HG365E electric-powered horizontal grinder has been configured
to meet a variety of on-site grinding functions and can function as a
stand-alone waste reduction machine or may operate as one component of
a larger waste reduction system. A 250-hp, 460-volt three-phase Baldor
electric motor powers the hammermill. A separate electric 50-hp Baldor
motor drives all other hydraulic functions. The HG365E has a large 14-ft.
by 50-in. open-end feed conveyor to accommodate certain materials without
needing to trim or prepare them for grinding. For more information, call
(641) 621-7626 or 1-888-VERMEER, or visit www.vemeer.com.
Laser Control System
Trimble recently introduced the GCS400, a laser-based machine control
system that simultaneously controls lift and tilt of a dozer blade. The
GCS400 delivers greater job site efficiency, easier operation, more consistent
accuracy and reduced costs. In addition to simultaneously controlling
a dozer's lift and tilt functions from a single box, the GSC400 system
gives the option to select from two elevation control modes. One is "independent
mode," which allows the operator to control the lift and tilt functions
independently from each other. The other is the "linked mode,"
which ties the lift and tilt functions together, allowing the operator
to maintain the blade parallel to the laser beam. For more information,

Rockbreaker System
The new MBS Series rockbreaker system is an on-plant solution for highly
portable aggregate and recycle applications. Unlike conventional boom
systems that must be removed from the crushing plant or permanently mounted
on a separate trailer, the new MBS Series models are designed to remain
on the plant due to an exclusive low profile design, which allows the
boom to be lowered flat onto the feeder below the height of the flywheel
for road transportation. Designed to be installed or retrofitted to new
or existing wheeled- or track-mounted crushing plants, MBS Series models
are lightweight and low profile, resulting in a significant reduction
in mounting and interfacing costs when compared with conventional boom
systems. For more information about the MBS Series, contact Tom Witt at

Spray Gun
Gusmer Corp. has renamed the GX8 Spray Gun to the GX8-Pro, which features
several new improvements to the mechanically self-cleaning low output
spray gun. The most significant improvement to the gun came from widening
the air passageways to the gun's air cap and trigger valve. This modification
provides more air volume to the spray tip so it operates cleaner, longer.
The increased air volume to the trigger valve provides faster opening
and closing of the gun. This speeds up impingement and allows for quick,
rapid triggering for detail spraying without sacrificing mixing quality.

NJ 08701 or call 1-800-367-4767.
Vacuum Excavation System
The Ditch Witch FX60 Vacuum Excavation System combines enhanced "soft"
excavation capabilities and increased vacuum power in a compact, trailer-
or skid-mounted unit. For excavating, soils are displaced by water at
pressures to 3500 psi . Powered by a 56-horsepower diesel engine, the
unit's belt-driven blower develops maximum airflow of 900 cfm at 16-in.
of mercury for vacuuming. For most efficient use of power, the clutch
automatically disengages when water is not in use, allowing fill power
to the blower. More information is available at www.ditchwitch.com
or by calling 1-800-654-6481.
